Global Warming
(noun)

an increase in the earth's average atmospheric temperature that causes corresponding changes in climate and that may result from the greenhouse effect.an increase in the earth's average atmospheric temperature that causes corresponding changes in climate and that may result from the greenhouse effect. http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/global%20warming

Things we know already:
Things we want to know & answers:

• Average temperatures have climbed 1.4 degrees Fahrenheit (0.8 degree Celsius) around the world since 1880, much of this in recent decades.
• The rate of warming is increasing. The 20th century's last two decades were the hottest in 400 years and possibly the warmest for several millennia, according to a number of climate studies. And the United Nations' Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) reports that 11 of the past 12 years are among the dozen warmest since 1850.
• The Arctic is feeling the effects the most. Average temperatures in Alaska, western Canada, and eastern Russia have risen at twice the global average.
• Arctic ice is rapidly disappearing, and the region may have its first completely ice-free summer by 2040 or earlier. Polar bears and indigenous cultures are already suffering from the sea-ice loss.
• Glaciers and mountain snows are rapidly melting—for example, Montana's Glacier National Park now has only 27 glaciers, versus 150 in 1910. In the Northern Hemisphere, thaws also come a week earlier in spring and freezes begin a week later.
• Coral reefs, which are highly sensitive to small changes in water temperature, suffered the worst bleaching—or die-off in response to stress—ever recorded in 1998, with some areas seeing bleach rates of 70 percent. Experts expect these sorts of events to increase in frequency and intensity in the next 50 years as sea temperatures rise.
• An upsurge in the amount of extreme weather events, such as wildfires, heat waves, and strong tropical storms, is also attributed in part to climate change by some experts.
    1. What is the greenhouse effect, and is it affecting our climate?
    2. Are greenhouse gases increasing?
    3. Is the climate warming?
    4. Is the hydrological cycle (evaporation and precipitation) changing?
    5. Is the atmospheric/oceanic circulation changing?
    6. Is the climate becoming more variable or extreme?
    7. How important are these changes in a longer-term context?
    8. Is sea level rising?
    9. Can the observed changes be explained by natural variability, including changes in solar output?
    10. What about the future?

Our main subject is on the water supply we have now vs what we will have in the future.
Our personal opinion:

Shay's opinion on this subject:
Ria's opinion on this subject:
Mr Nixons comments:
I believe that the water supply we have today, will remain with us, because water is constantly re-used, it can be filtered and become clean again.
The dinosaurs - being bigger beasts must of drunk more water, and yet we are drinking the same water that they had in their years.
I feel water is like oxygen or more commonly know as air, we aren't going to run out just because there are more of us, it will regenerate itself using natural resources like water/lake weed which purifies water. Even man made objects are helping the water supply with our new filtration systems. Who knows scientists may find a formula to re-create water.
I saw a video and it was about 2070 and it showed that we will not be able to use water the way we use it today. In the future there will be a major shortage. I personally feel that this is true, because of the way we are using it. In Australia people can not use the water like we can. In 2070 scientists could not make water because of the shortage of the trees. There would be no clean oxygen being produced. The life span of humans in 2070 would be 30 or if unlucky... less. Us in the future could only have half a cup of water to drink each day. We would have no food to eat, because food needs water to grow and the rain would be acidic. FACT: Only 2% of the water in the world is drinkable, we use this water to wash our selfs and this water is used to flush our business.
75% is water on Earth.

Wow girls, you are really putting some thought into you work. I like your choice of topic and how you have both stated your view. Your views are very different. Some interesting opinions and ideas. Weed text? Also an interesting choice!
